Dr. habil. Barbara Alicja Jańczak from the Institute of Applied Linguistics at Adam Mickiewicz University visited the University of Basel between May 6 and 8, 2025. She gave a guest lecture entitled Sprache, Politik und Identität: Die deutsche Minderheit in Pommern und Ostpreußen nach 1945 as part of a course taught by Prof. Martin Luginbühl.
Her teaching activity was complemented by a meeting with Vice-Rector Prof. Thomas Grob, EPICUR Project Coordinator Dr. Marc Frick, and the Head of the Department of German Linguistics and Literature, Prof. Martin Luginbühl, to discuss future cooperation in the field of linguistics between the two universities.
Next steps for expanding the collaboration and preparing joint courses have been planned.
